Do you provide your customers with a helmet?
Absolutely. All riders must wear a helmet while riding. Each bike rental includes a helmet and bike lock at no additional charge.  All of our bikes have water bottle holders as well.

Are there bike trails for beginners?
The Lake George/Adirondack park has numerous bike paths for all types of riders. Every rental comes with a map to help you understand and navigate our beautiful area.

What happens if I get a flat?
In the event you get a flat during your rental, first get to a safe area and dismount the bike.  Next, we ask you call the Rental Shop and we will advise of next steps to get you back on the road or trail. Our shop phone number is located on each bike so you can call us for help.

Is Lake George Bike Cruisers a national chain?
No. We are a small, local family owned bicycle rental company. We have only one location right here in our hometown of Lake George, NY.  Through our hard work, we have laid the foundation for the vibrant bicycle rental industry that our area now enjoys. We rent bicycles from Bolton Landing, NY to Saratoga Springs, NY.

How old does the person have to be to be able to rent a bicycle?
Anyone renting a bike must be 18 or older. If the rider is younger than 18, the rider must have a parent or a legal guardian present and must give permission for the minor to ride by signing the, “Release, Waiver, and Liability Agreement”. This is standard paperwork that is filled out by every one of our riders.

Is there any deposit required for renting a bicycle?
A valid U.S. ID or valid passport and a credit card are necessary for your rental. We do not take “pre-paid” cards in lieu of a credit card for deposit requirements. We will not rent a bike to anyone without a valid ID and credit card, no exceptions.

What should I wear?
We suggest you to wear something casual and comfortable, appropriate dress for the weather conditions is advised. We also recommend wearing closed toed shoes.  Sandals or flip-flops are discouraged because of the high chances of toe injuries as well as the chance that they may fall off your feet while riding creating a safety hazard.

Do you rent baby seats or tow-behind trailers?
Due to liability issues, we do not offer baby seats, nor do we allow them to be installed on any of our bikes. However we do have tow behind trailers for toddlers.

Do you offer pet carriers? New for 2018, bring your furry friend for a bike ride in our new pet trailers!
